Write to [email protected]. A person answers, usually the same day. Below are the things people ask most.
Emergencies
Call 112 for rescue, or +40 725 826 668 for Salvamont’s dispatch. Do not write to us from an emergency: we are not an on-call service and we cannot send anyone.
The map is empty
Download the massif. The app does not keep the whole country on the phone; it keeps packs per massif, so they fit and so they work without signal. Open Packs, pick the massif, wait for the bar.
It downloads once. After that the app needs no internet for the map, the profile or the turnaround.
The turnaround alarm never arrives
Check the notification permission first. Then check whether the phone is in a Focus: the turnaround alarm is allowed through a Focus, but only while the notification permission is still granted.
It rings twice: once with a lead, so you have time to decide, and once at the hour itself.
A path is wrong, or missing
The path comes from OpenStreetMap, so it can be fixed there once, for everybody, not only for you. Edit it on openstreetmap.org, or write to us and we will.
The correction reaches the app at the next rebuild of the packs, not instantly.
The pace it calculates is not mine
It is learnt from the walks you record, but only from the ones you walked alone: a group or a child changes your pace for a reason that has nothing to do with your fitness, and a model that learnt from them would hand you a wrong turnaround the next time you went out on your own.
Until the first recorded walk the app uses a cautious estimate, slower than most people. Every walk moves it closer to you.
I want my data
You already have it. Every walk exports as GPX from its own page. There is no server of ours to send it from, because it never reaches us.
